Pats vs Broncos

This one's tough to swallow. The first period saw goals from both the pats Weal and the broncos Stickland. Putting the score, obviously, 1-1. The score remained like this through the second and until the dying seconds of the third. 16 dying seconds to be exact. It was at this time that the leading scorer for the Broncos Cody Eakin scored what eventually became the game winning goal. The Pats pulled Ketlo to give the offense a chance, but the Pats just arn't that lucky I'm afraid. The Pats were mere seconds away from at the very least getting 1 point against one of the hardest teams to play on the road, but no. It's interesting to note that the Broncos are now 9-1 at home, but 0-5 on the road. Hopefully we can make that 0-6 tomorrow night when the Broncos come to the Brandt Centre to take on the Pats again. The Pats lines were relatively "crazy" tonight (crazy probably isn't the best word for them, but I'm mad so it's all I can think of for them right now). Being that Strueby is still out with a concussion, Metz has a bruised foot from blocking a shot, and Davidson is having some knee trouble. As a result, the Pats were forced to move Leffler down to the second line and bring new-comer Gustafsson up to join Jordan Eberle and Weal on the first line. Kyle Mulder centered the second line, and Hricina was demoted to the third. On the positive side, the Pats did play a really good road game, in one of the hardest buildings to play in, but those clutch plays just weren't there tonight for the Pats. Good luck to the boys tomorrow, lets bring home the "W", and more importantly, the 2 points! Game starts at a special Sunday time, of 6:00pm.
