Just when you thought the Oilers ship was turning a corner, it sank. The Oilers beat the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, thus putting an end to their 7 game losing streak. But it appears the Oilers and yet again on a losing streak. Since the win against Toronto the Oilers lost 2-1 to the Flames, and look to be on their way to an embarassing loss to the Sharks by no less then 4-1. There is still 14 minutes left in the third at the moment, but I think the Sharks have this one in the bag.
The Oilers next game is January 5th when they face the Coyotes. I can't imagine there will be too many Canadian fans watching that game, as it is also the day that Team Canada will hopefully be going for gold at the World Juniors. Sorry Oilers, but my eyes will be glued to the World Juniors game.
